Meet the team..
Jonathan is the Managing Partner of Mountside Ventures, and is on a mission to optimise the fundraising process for startups and investors; VCs & LPs alike. He splits his time running Mountside's accelerators programmes, advising entrepreneurs raising their next round, and identifying top-tier emerging VC managers for Family Offices and Limited Partners.
He qualified with PwC as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and co-founded their early-stage propositions, whose alumni have raised over £500m with a combined valuation of £3bn.
Sofia joined Mountside Ventures as an Investment Associate with the goal of helping founders get investor-ready. Prior to that, Sofia worked as an investment banker at Santander in New York, where she gained experience in transaction sourcing and execution.
Sofia holds a BA in Economics & Psychology from Columbia University in New York.
Akhil joined Mountside as an Investment Analyst, having previously held GTM roles at early-stage Startups and Investment Funds in London.
He was the founding GTM hire at a non-dilutive capital fund that supported B2B SaaS and R&D-intensive startups where he played an instrumental role in building out and scaling the GTM function and team. Following this, he joined SaaStock to run their Startup Accelerator Program, primarily helping B2B SaaS Founders speed up their fundraising efforts through personalised investor introductions based on stage and sector.
Akhil holds an MA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Edinburgh, and is passionate about supporting founders on their scaling journey.
Yasemin joined Mountside Ventures as Accelerator Lead to support early-stage founders get investor-ready. Previously, Yasemin worked as a VC Associate at Early Metrics, helping CVCs carry out extra-financial analysis and financial due diligence for their investment decisions. In her free time, she founded a D2C olive oil startup and advised a Turkish family office to build a VC-focused investment structure.
Yasemin holds a BEng from Warwick and an MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College.
Tom joined Mountside Ventures as an Investment Analyst from HSBC Private Bank, where he developed investment strategies for UHNWs and FOs. Alongside this, Tom worked as a Business & Operations Analyst at a B2C Travel Marketplace, Not in The Guidebooks, supporting them through their successful Pre-Seed and Crowdfunding rounds, gaining first-hand experience of the fundraising process and the pressure founders are under.
Tom holds a BSc in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
Alex is one of the Founding Partners of Mountside Ventures. His focus is on supporting the most ambitious entrepreneurs to raise their next round of funding efficiently, and also connecting Venture Fund Managers with Limited Partners to promote the flow of capital into the European ecosystem.
As a Chartered Accountant (ACA) he has a background in helping companies raise their Seed-to-Series-A rounds in London and Berlin, having co-founded PwC's startup propositions Scale & Raise and led their international expansion into Europe.
Jon is a Founding Partner of Mountside Ventures and is on a mission to optimise the fundraising process between European startups and investors. He advises companies and VC fund managers on their institutional funding strategies.
Jon is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and is keen on making the world a better place through technology.
Sarah joined Mountside Ventures as an Investment Manager to ensure our clients are investor-ready. She founded and led the award-winning travel-tech startup HostelPass from ideation to profitability, raising two funding rounds.
Following the success of HostelPass, Sarah shifted her focus towards supporting other founders navigate the fundraising process, and Mountside Ventures' win-win, founder-friendly approach inspired her to join the team.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Psychology and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
Bheven joined Mountside Ventures as an Investment Analyst having previously held an operating position at a YC & VC backed pre-seed AIaaS start-up. Prior to this, Bheven gained experience across the tech investment and traditional investment landscapes from his previous roles at Octopus Ventures and St. James's Place.
Having initially started his career at Handelsbanken, a relationship bank - Bheven understands that developing strong relationships and trust is fundamental to success in any industry, especially fundraising.
Annabel joined Mountside Ventures as a Finance Analyst. Prior to this, Annabel was a founder herself. She also gained experience working in a VC-backed biotech startup, and as investment analyst in a renewable energy fund.
Annabel has a BA in Business Administration, an MSc in Sustainable Development, and an MBA. She's passionate about leveraging new technologies and AI to solve societal problems and has gained skills in product development, data science, and machine learning over the years.
Rahil joined Mountside Ventures as a Venture Debt Manager having previously worked as a strategy consultant. He advised private equity clients on mid-market deals in Europe and the US with a focus on the TMT sector. Prior to that, he completed his ACA qualification at PwC in the assurance division with a focus on private equity and asset management clients.
Rahil holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Business, Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University.
Gregor is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Future Partners, a Berlin-based VC Fund of Funds backing Emerging Managers globally. Prior to starting BFP in 2015, Gregor spent 5 years at a EU Family Office investing in VC and Real Estate.
Gregor was also the Co-Founder and CEO of Open Publishing, one of Germany’s leading digital publishing software companies.
